I pray that this website will glorify God by clearing up confusion in the Church and by helping non-Christians find eternal salvation.

I didn’t want this website to be about me at all, because I wanted to keep the focus on the truth of God’s Word. However, I’ve decided to add a short bio after receiving several inquiries from readers. I understand why readers may be curious about me; there are so many false teachers out there that it’s wise to be cautious.

I am merely a layman. I have no formal theological training. I’ve never been to seminary, and I’m certainly not famous! I’m just a Christian husband and father living in North Carolina and working at a secular job. In fact, one of the reasons I started this website was to document my thoughts on Scripture to better educate my two sons.

Why should any of this matter? If what I’m writing lines up with God’s Word, then it’s true. Don’t trust a source simply because they have an advanced degree, and don’t discount a source simply because they lack one. I believe in the doctrine of the Perspicuity of Scripture, meaning that the Bible is clear and understandable. God has given you a mind, and if you’re a Christian then God has also given you the Holy Spirit to illuminate the Scriptures, so you should be able to compare anything I’ve written against God’s Word to see for yourself whether it’s true.

I freely admit that I’m fallible, and I will humbly correct any mistakes that I’ve made so as to present God’s Word in the best possible light.
